Regional Director — Sales
The Regional Director (RD) is responsible for promoting Equalis Group’s Public Sector cooperative contract program within designated geography. Working with purchasing individuals from cities, counties, K-12, state, higher ed, and non-profits, the RD will identify and support cooperative purchasing solutions for Equalis Group’s participating agencies. The RD will also work collaboratively with awarded supply partners to develop and implement strategies that drive increased adoption of the contract portfolio. The RD reports to the Area VP, lives within the designated geography, and should expect to travel up to 30% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow revenue based on the assigned sales plan and region of responsibility.
- Work with awarded suppliers’ sales representatives to drive new sales within current members and to acquire new members.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with supplier sales personnel and regional management.
- Schedule and attend in-person and virtual appointments with public agencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with larger, strategic accounts in territory.
- Develop relationships with state sponsors within territory.
- Take complete ownership of territory; engage team members for help and guidance when necessary.
- Manage and stay within expense budget.
- Support corporate training events scheduled by suppliers.
Qualifications
- Must live in region and within reasonable distance to a major airport.
- 3+ years of sales experience; public sector sales experience is a plus.
- Energetic and enthusiastic; comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Experience with a CRM system (Salesforce), preferred.
- BA/BS degree preferred.

Senior Director, Business Development
Equalis Group is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development, to oversee, build, and grow Equalis Group’s Outsourced Services contract portfolio. Qualified applicants are expected to have knowledge of outsourced services solutions for education and government agencies (e.g. staffing and facilities management).
Responsibilities
- Maintain, develop, and grow strategic relationships with Equalis Group’s Outsourced Services suppliers’ leadership teams.
- Develop and execute a sales plan for the Outsourced Services category.
- Train supplier sales representatives on Equalis Group and their company’s Equalis Group contract.
- Regularly engage with supplier sales leadership and regional/local sales teams to drive contract revenue.
- Support supplier sales efforts with customers to help close business.
- Serve as the outsourced services subject matter expert to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to determine requirements and needs for the outsourced services category.
- Communicate Equalis Group’s organizational values to prospective RFP respondents.
- Provide insights to the procurement team and lead agents on supplier responses and capabilities prior to award.
Qualifications
- Virtual role; requires travel across the country as needed.
- At least 4 years’ sales experience working for or with cooperatives, GPOs, or related industries.

Director of Distributor Sales, Food & Janitorial Supplies

The Director of Distributor Sales, Food & Janitorial Supplies is responsible for owning the sales relationship with assigned awarded distributor partners within Equalis Group’s Food & Janitorial Supplies portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of accountability for assigned awarded distributor partners.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships at the distributor’s corporate, regional, and local levels.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with the distributor partner; drive joint go-to-market plans and joint accountability against Equalis Group sales targets.
- Train the distributor’s regional and local sales teams on Equalis Group contracts, lead-agency awards, member eligibility, and value proposition.
- Build, deploy, and refresh selling tools, sell sheets, contract summaries, and CRM playbooks.
- Drive member adoption across K-12, higher education, prisons/jails, hospitality, and corporate end markets.
- Partner with Equalis Group’s Regional Directors and Member Engagement team on member-level pursuit plans.
- Own the sales forecast, pipeline, and adoption goals for the assigned distributor portfolio.
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene and partner with the Senior Analyst on distributor scorecards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in foodservice and/or janitorial/sanitation supplies distribution, manufacturer national accounts, or GPO/cooperative purchasing.
- Demonstrated experience selling through or working alongside broadline foodservice or jan-san distributors.
- GPO or cooperative purchasing experience is a plus; public-sector procurement experience is highly valued.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in a relationship-led, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong presentation, training, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and CRM discipline.
- BA/BS degree preferred. Travel up to 50%.
