Director of Procurement

Summary:
Equalis Group is seeking a Director of Procurement to build and expand upon the Equalis Group supplier contract portfolio. Qualified applicants will be expected to have capabilities in solicitation/RFP development, project management, interpersonal and relationship management skills, negotiation strategies, and a strong ability to learn and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Location:
The preferred location for this position is office-based at our headquarters in Plano, Texas.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a procurement subject matter expert to key stakeholders, including Lead Agents and Equalis Group members, by identifying their critical business requirements and providing procurement services to meet/exceed their expectations.
- Work with Lead Agents and Equalis Group members to develop and refine category strategies (i.e., a sourcing roadmap).
- Work with Lead Agents to develop RFPs/solicitations, including the creation of a scope of work, specifications, evaluation criteria, questionnaires, and all other aspects of what will be required to release formal public solicitations.
- Conduct market research through supplier outreach, industry specific channels and other resources to determine what is required for each sourcing category.
- Communicate Equalis Group’s organizational values to prospective respondents to the RFPs.
- Synthesize comprehensive supplier responses and provide insight and summaries of the supplier responses to Lead Agents.
- Develop and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
- Evaluate sourcing procedures and present process improvement strategies to Lead Agencies and senior management.
Job Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 years of experience in procurement or related field preferred.
- Energetic and enthusiastic; comfortable working in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, results oriented, with the ability to work in a remote environment when necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
